  • Sheriff's Office Subdivisions

    Within the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office, several subdivisions have been created to address certain area law enforcement and community needs. These units comprise full-time deputies who conduct initial and ongoing training in their areas of expertise. Each subdivision has its leadership team that oversees the day-to-day operations of its unit and ensures their personnel are acting within the guidelines and duties set forth and are utilizing the resources allotted to them properly and in the best interest of the general public. Some subdivisions also have subbranches and certifications that expand their knowledge and abilities to serve their colleagues and the community better. Some of these Divisions are listed below!

  • Parks & Wildlife Rangers

    Lead Rangers: None

    The Wildlife Rangers serve as the primary enforcers of fish, game, and maritime regulations within Blaine County. What sets the WLR apart is their extensive array of resources, including marine units, search and rescue helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), and mountain bicycles. Their duties encompass the enforcement of hunting, fishing, poaching, and conservation laws related to natural resources.

  • Fugitive Recovery Task Force

    Lead Agents: None

    The Fugitive Recovery Task Force, operating under the jurisdiction of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, is a specialized unit tasked with locating and apprehending individuals wanted for various offenses. With a focus on tracking down fugitives who have eluded capture, this dedicated team employs a combination of investigative techniques and tactical expertise to ensure that those evading justice are swiftly brought to account. By collaborating closely with local and federal agencies, the task force plays a vital role in maintaining public safety and upholding the integrity of the law enforcement system in Blaine County.

  • Criminal Investigations Division

    Lead Agents: None

    The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office is at the forefront of solving complex crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice. Comprising skilled detectives and forensic experts, CID investigates a wide range of criminal activities, from homicides to financial crimes. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and traditional investigative methods, the division meticulously gathers evidence, interviews witnesses, and pursues leads to uncover the truth. With a steadfast commitment to serving the community and upholding the law, CID plays a crucial role in ensuring safety and security throughout Blaine County.

  • Joint Statewide Subdivisions: 

    Subdivisions in this category are managed by representatives from LEO Agencies in San Andreas. To apply for these subdivisions, one must be an active member of a recognized Law Enforcement Agency.

    Air Support Unit (ASU)

     ASU Lead: Vacant

    The Air Support Unit supports the Highway Patrol and other various organizations with day-to-day operations. This is done by providing aerial coverage to the patrol section of Law Enforcement Agencies, aiding them in their calls for service. Deputies who are part of the Air Support Unit are highly skilled and trained in flight operations and go through the Department’s rigorous helicopter and fixed-wing flight training school to earn their wings.  

    Canine Task Force (CTF)

     CTF Lead: Drew Dawson

    The Canine Unit is dedicated to assisting the San Andreas Highway Patrol officers and the citizens they protect through the use of highly trained police canines. The unit strives for exceptionalism from both its dogs and officers. With a variety of different specializations that are accompanied by different training and field-based exercises. The base training for the Canine Unit trains the dog and handler on the ability to find individuals and apprehend them. May it be tracking criminals or discovering remains, all handlers, and their canine companions are skilled in that. 

    Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.)

     SWAT Commander: Tyler Justice

    The San Andreas Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) Team is an elite unit within San Andreas that is a collaboration among LEO Departments focusing on the safe, swift, and efficient execution of missions to provide on-duty Law Enforcement officers with tactical assistance in stressful and dangerous circumstances.

    SWAT's mission is to provide premier tactical planning, execution, and operational capabilities; to be recognized as the most comprehensive, professional, and effective tactical enforcement entity and service partner to the many other Law Enforcement Agencies in the State of San Andreas.
